"Butterfly" pendant lamp by Lars Schiøiler for Hoyrup Denmark (1960s–70s). Its modular structure uses semi‑transparent plastic panels folded around an inner ring, creating soft, diffuse light. The model became an icon of the Space Age era and of Hoyrup’s early adoption of flat‑pack self‑assembly production. Schiøiler, a partner in the company, also designed the Pearl and Ballet models. Well‑preserved panels are especially valued, since early versions could warp from incandescent heat. Diameter: approx. 40 cm. Material: semi‑transparent PVC panels with a connecting ring.
