How do Danes design calm rooms and spaces? How can planning reduce friction, make room for different needs, and make living together easier? And how do you create a space that photographs well and also contributes to a world that is better for all of us to live in?
We will look into a few of the secrets of Danish design: a tradition that turned chairs, lamps, and everyday objects into international classics. Behind the forms we recognize is a meeting of craft, aesthetics, and use, and of attention to the body alongside social ideas about equality and quality of life.
A lecture for designers, architects, and people who love design. It invites you to look at a space through the people who live in it, and to leave with new ideas and questions for the next project and for your own home.
