ONSJÖ ceiling lamp designed by Icelandic designer Sigga Heimis for IKEA (2012). Inspired by the movement of fireflies, tiny LED lights are woven into clear plastic tubes, creating a floating circular motion of light. A unique design that is no longer in production. Excellent condition. The structure uses flexible transparent tubes with embedded LEDs, so when lit, the physical lines recede and the light points appear to shift with the viewer's angle—a nod to the random paths of fireflies at night. Early LED adoption allowed the lamp to treat light itself as a material. The result is a technological yet organic presence that becomes part of the room's atmosphere rather than a device.
